Technology Education
CAPTION: This entry underscores the integration of technological tools—such as PowerPoint presentations, QR codes, and Microsoft Teams—within the classroom setting. In the context of the ongoing technological revolution, it is imperative that 21st-century learners develop strong digital competencies. As educators, we have a responsibility to embed these technologies into our pedagogical practices to cultivate globally competent and digitally literate citizens. Within my teaching of Agricultural Science, the strategic use of these tools has proven effective in enhancing student engagement. Their application not only simplifies complex content but also fosters increased participation by promoting student confidence and facilitating interactive learning experiences.
Multimedia is used in some form in every class, with PowerPoints being the most common medium. Each lesson includes images or videos as part of the set induction. No single technology mode is more crucial than another, and regardless of when technology is used in the lesson, it is vital that there is a clear and meaningful purpose behind its incorporation.
